Church History

The church was started with nine members on November 26, 1831, and is now the oldest church organization still in continuous existence in Lincoln County Missouri. The original name of the church was “Church of Troy”. The congregation worshiped in several different buildings until 1875, when the present building was built and dedicated at a cost of $17,000.

In the early 1980s, Troy Presbyterian Church became part of the denomination of The Presbyterian Church (USA).  In 2013, we were dismissed from that denomination, and are now a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.  To signify our new life at this time, we changed the name to EPiC, which stands for Evangelical Presbyterians in Christ, on March 24th, 2013.

We don’t know what the road ahead has for EPiC Church, but we do know that God has been faithful to this church body for 186 years and counting.

Mission Statement

To know Christ in a life changing way and to share Him with others”. We plan to remain faithful to this mission statement for as long as God calls us to, giving Him all glory. We hope that you will want to become a part of this body of believers and will experience the joy that comes with being a part of the Body of Christ
